Thank you Dr. Stanford

Since Visible launched, we've been committed to providing a positive impact in our community. Three years later, we're still walking the walk. This morning, our company teamed up with Good Morning America to honor the work and mission of Dr. Ala Stanford.

Dr. Stanford is a pediatric surgeon and personal doctor in the greater Philadelphia area. During the pandemic, Dr. Stanford kept hearing stories from family and friends about the difficulty of getting a COVID test. In response, Dr. Stanford and her husband launched the nonprofit, Black Doctors Consortium, to offer information about COVID 19 and free tests to residents in the North Philadelphia area. Initially, Dr. Stanford went door-to-door, but later created pop-up clinics in Black churches. Today, the organization is still working in the community to provide COVID 19 vaccinations.

Good Morning America correspondent, T.J. Holmes, highlighted the work of Dr. Stanford on Monday, April 12, 2021. Visible is honored to provide Dr. Stanford’s nonprofit with a $10,000 grant and 20 devices with Visible service to provide connectivity to those helping to bring a much needed vaccine to everyone.

“Dr. Stanford’s work speaks to the ability each of us has to help strive for social equality,” said Miguel Quiroga, CEO of Visible. “As a brand rooted in social impact, our entire Visible team is blown away by the difference she is making in the Philadelphia community.”
